Prem Rawat in Auckland New Zealand, 29th September 2024 transcription

After 50 years, this is the first speech of Prem Rawat's that I've enjoyed. It wasn't entertaining, it wasn't clever, it was all Schadenfreude. In this speech he is whining and complaining as usual but he's not complaining about his followers or the people who don't follow him, he's complaining about what's happening to himself. He looks old, tired and sick and his speech is even worse than usual. He complains about his sight, hearing, vision, speech, the AIS, daylight saving, OS upgrades, emails, cloud services, other people talking about peace, PWKs alwys picking pleasing instead of good, getting Covid, PWKs being clueless, politicians, banks, credit cards, voting, people with physical flexibility, idiots, Indians, escalators, fear of death, taxes, technology, death. He speaks about old age coming too quickly. He is speaking for and about himself. It was obvious that his sedentary lifestyle and overindulgence in food, tobacco, alcohol and marijuana would have an effect. He's 67, he looks 87 and he's so vain he's still using a little hair dye/thickener. It's not working. He says he can't eat deliciious potato chips without suffering gastric problems, constipation and explosive diarrhea. Because he's never exercised his body, he falls and flops like a thumb push toy. He is speaking to long term Kiwi premies/PWKs and he gets pretty insulting. He might be giving them a real hint about himself: "Seemingly intelligent people fall for this time after time after time after time"

His speeches have always had non sequiteurs but in this speech every topic is over more quickly, nothing is developed, its a litany of short complaints.

The rest seems to be Rawat insulting the audience, all premies/PWKs. Do they understand? The applause seems somewhat thin.

Prem Rawat in Auckland New Zealand, 29th September 2024 transcription

So yes, it's been 12 years since I have been here and uh not much has changed. The ocean is still there and the islands are still there. And that's really what makes up New Zealand. Not the tall structures, not the concrete jungle. But I'm here to talk to you about something that is happening right now which is absolutely amazing. It's taking place now. And on one hand there's you. And on the other hand, there's this infinite. And believe me, the infinite is huge. No end. Limitless. Infinite No top, no bottom, no left, no right, no back, no forward. Everything is in it, the infinite and the infinite is in everything.

Now the fact that you exist, your existence has opened up a window of opportunity. And let me just say that window of opportunity. Because unlike the infinite you are bound. You are bound by some laws. You weren't. You are and you won't be. Not a single person on the face of this Earth has been able to elude that. Not Ram, not Krishna. Nobody. And there's quite a few Indians here. so I threw in Ram and Krishna. Absolutely nobody was able to elude this. You come, you are and then you go. You are bound by these laws. The infinite isn't. So the window of opportunity is not for the infinite The window of opportunity is for you. It's your opportunity. It's not like, oh, would like with the infinite like to see me. No, it's you would like to see the infinite. Would the infinite like to feel me? No, it is you would like to feel the infinite.

So how do we make this happen? How? And I am going to give you some clues? That's what I do. That's what I've been doing for the past, whatever, 50 years or whatever that I've been talking to people. I give them some clues, whether they accept it in their life, they take the opportunity - because see, remember what I said. The window of opportunity. It's not always going to be there because you're not always going to be there. What's more important? What's going to happen to you afterwards? Or the fact you're not going to be there. Which one is more important? Because some people are definitely "What's going to happen to me when I die?" Which one is more important? That, what's gonna happen to you? Or do you take the window of opportunity? You must decide this. Nobody can decide this for you. You have to say "Okay, I'll take that opportunity." Then something is possible. Then you have to get to this thing (chuckles) called now. You know why Remember I'm giving you clues. So listen carefully. So why? I'll tell you why. Because even though the infinite was and will be, the infinite only exists in the now. Not in the past. You exist in the past. Many you think of every day. What happened yesterday? And as the result what's gonna happen tomorrow. The past can make you incredibly sad. Incredibly. And the future, pardon my French, but can scare the beJesus out of you. And it does. It's a new word in French.

In the now. You've heard this before. Great You've heard this, haven't you? "Be in the now" and you go right. Yeah, that's so beautiful. But you haven't got a clue how to be in the now. You don't! You have no clue how to be in the now. Cuz the only way you can be in the now is you for you to discard the past and let go of the future. Free from both of those, is the now. So have you got it? See, I arrived in Australia and I was going to do this 5 day event and thousands of people had come to attend. And since the 20s since the Covid started. I was there. I was country hopping. I was going from one country to another country to another country to another country and taking every precaution and I didn't get the Covid. I was doing events, I was doing events, everybody had to be six feet from each other. Everybody had to wear a mask. Except for me. (slight laughter) But I was six, more than six feet away from people. And then the first day of the event. Guess what? I got Covid. (laughter) Unbelievable. How I got? I have a clue how I got it. I was staying away from everybody. So now, not only do I have Covid. Full fledged Covid showing up on the tests. Positive positive positive. But I've got all these events to do. Morning. Evening. Morning. Evening. Morning. Evening.

And I could if I wanted to sit there and go. How did I ever get this? How did I ever get this? How did I ever get this? How did I ever get this? But yes, I had to be in a place where no. Not how you got it. And you're going to get out of it. Sure. But that's not the task at hand. The task at hand is to talk from your heart to these people. And that's what I did. (some clapping) So there, so there were a lot of people who had come hoping to see me and talk to me And I couldn't talk to them and I couldn't tell them I had Covid. But I I couldn't talk to them. And I told everybody backstage. I said, "Listen, stay six feet away from me and put on your masks." Because my thing is, don't get it and don't give it. And I got it. I got it. I got it. But I was gonna try my level best not to give it to anybody. But, but the main thing is, in life. Have we accepted our life? Have you accepted life Listen to me carefully now. Have you accepted life or have you accepted the challenges of life? Do you deal with life or do you deal with the challenges of life? Which one?

If you are going to restore a car, which I have restored quite a few cars. What do you do first? Cosmetically fix it? Because you're going to have to anyways. If you are restoring the car, you have to cosmetically fix it. Send their bumpers in. Send the chrome in. Get it painted. Do this. Do that. How are you gonna do this? Or even a better example if you are fixing your house. Diwali is coming. All the Indians are gonna get their house painted. Not in the West. I don't think, it's too expensive. And you have some construction work you have to do. First, aren't you gonna do the construction work and then get it painted? Or first do you put, do you put the paint on and then do the construction work? You can't be that stoopid. Wouldn't you get the car running well? Flawlessly. Now you can come in and fix it. Make it look really pretty. Fine. But what if all you ever did was make it look pretty and never got into its running. What makes it tick? So what makes you tick?

What makes you tick? There you are. You probably make a payment to the bank for your house. And you think that house is yours. No, it's not. It's banks And you're paying money to the bank not to kick you out. Because try it. Just stop paying it and they'll kick you out. You are under the illusion it's yours, and it's not. That's my car. No, it's not. You're paying, either you, either you lease it. Why? Because you didn't really have the money to buy the car. So what you did was pay little by little by little by little and then end of the day. The car will be theirs, not yours. But you would have to pay extra bit for the car to be yours. What a deal. What an incredible deal. You pay, you pay, you pay, believe me, what you are paying is worth a lot more than what that car is worth. In this world. That's the way it is. So that you don't have to pay cash. You get a card. A little plastic card and you can charge anything you want to it. Go ahead till you get the real bill and why can't, if this card is so good, then when you get the real bill. Why can't you just charge it to the card? Because the bank knows its worth nothing. You don't know that. You don't know that. You have limited resources. You know that. How limited are your resources? You don't have time. You think you do (snaps fingers) but you don't.

Old age comes way too quickly. And when it comes it comes, going 1,000 miles an hour and you just want to slow it down somehow. But you cannot and everything starts to go. You know there is that little toy and you hold it and you push it at the bottom and it's all held together. Beads looks like a pony or something like that. Then as soon as you push the bottom it all falls apart. It's like nothing. And then as soon as you let it go its in tension again. You're like that, we all of us human beings are like that and the age just comes and pushes the bottom and we just go "Yyshg". Can't hear a thing. Can't see a thing. Can't speak a thing. Nobody will understand you. You're trying to say something "Wrgh" and something else comes out. The only thing that is going, is the mind. Oh yeah, the smell of potatoes frying in fat is delicious. Is it not? And when you smell it? Because they're putting it in a fan and blowing it your way. You go "Mm I'm hungry." Then you get to that age and you eat of some of that. That's poison. You can't digest it. It'll stay with you for 18 days. And when it comes out, it's like, "Oops." Sense of humour. Does nature have sense of humour Do you think nature has sense of humour? Huh? There you work so hard to be flexible, right? Flexible, flexible, flexible, flexible, flexible, flexible. Four hours after you die, you're stiff as a board. (laughter) I think that's sense of humour and why? I mean, why? Why, stiff as a board? You're dead now, but no, that's what happens. You you wanna be flexible, flex now. Nothing doing. Nothing doing.

So your objective in life should be to be in now. So you can be with the infinite. So you can experience peace. You know what people talk about peace? It really irritates me. It's very unpeaceful because I know that to be in peace. That's what it takes. Abandon all what is yesterday? And abandon all that is tomorrow. And be in this place called now. Now. And when you are in now, you can be in peace. You will be in peace. Have you ever thought about what bothers you? Ha ha ha ha.

I mean somebody who is getting ready to go to prison. The past is bothering them and the future is bothering them. Both. Same amount. Horrible. I know. I visit these institutions, people are incarcerated and they're there for some heinous crime that they have committed. And they know that crime. They think about that crime every single every single day that they are in that prison. And again and again and again and again and again and again. I was in this one prison in Pretoria, South Africa. And usually just people checked in. They walked on their own feet. And when they checked out they were lying in a box and they had these gates that would slam shut. There was a wing and there was another wing and another wing and another wing and then there was a big foyer and in that foyer was the gates to each one of those wings and they was slammed that and you knew your life was over. Even though you were alive. Even though they could talk they could hear but nothing was interesting.

And one little story changed everything for them. What was this story? There was a farmer. He had his sheep. He would take his sheep out walking. And one day as he was bringing back the sheep - I'm just making this really short. As he was as he was coming back he saw a little lion cub almost dead lying on the side of the road. So he picked it up, brought him in, gave him a blanket, gave him some milk. Took care of him and slowly the lion cub recovered. The farmer didn't really have a place for the lion cub. So he put him in the barn with the sheep and he would play with the sheep. He would go out with the sheep every day. He would go out with the sheep. He would come back with the sheep. His whole life was for the sheep. One day a real big lion roared at the edge of the jungle and all the sheep scattered and so did the little lion cub. He hid. He stuck his head in the trunk of a tree. And he hid. The lion cub came, the lion came down, saw the sheep scattered, scared and to his amazement he sees this lion cub also shaking and he said "Why are you afraid?" And the lion cub said, "Oh, please don't eat me. I won't taste good. Don't eat me.." "Eat you? Don't you know you are a lion like me?" He said "Whatever you say. Whatever you say. Just don't eat me." "He said turn around. You don't know who you are." He took him by the lake and he said "Look at yourself and look at me" and the lion cub did and he could see that he wasn't anything like the sheep, that he was a lion. Then the lion cub said Okay, now roar with me like you are supposed to." And he roared. And from that day on his life changed. He didn't need to be scared. Can you imagine this little story that I used to tell, changed their lives. They made a huge poster of the little lion cub and the lion. Because they too had forgotten who they are.

You do what you do during the day and you do it because you have been told that is the thing to do. You have never asked yourself "Do you really like doing this?" For some people it's getting up at 5:00 o'clock in the morning. Having the world's lousiest breakfast. Because who's gonna get up at 5:00 o'clock in the morning and cook for you? Well, the Indian wife may for a few days. But the keyword there is a few days. And then after that, what? And thank God for microwave oven to be able to heat up the milk so fast. Otherwise you wouldn't even have warm milk. Terrible coffee but you drink it anyways because you need it. Go out. I mean, today they changed the time. One hour. I mean, governments cannot stop playing with ours, our lives. And why? I mean, what exactly? Why? What is? What is this thing? You have to change it. Some places don't. What happens to them? Do they fall through the earth? No. Nothing. Everybody just knows nothing like that's ever gonna happen here. But yeah, change the time, you know what that means for me? Somebody who travels a lot. So it's gonna happen in the Northern Hemisphere the other way. Do you gain your lost one hour? All of a sudden. And there you are going to gain. So I mean just I try to wrap your head around one time zone to another time zone is worse enough as as it is. But then it's just like, okay, now you are changing and life goes on.

Remember that we were talking about life. Life goes on. And the three rules have not disappeared. Just because you don't think about them. That doesn't mean that the rules have disappeared. You weren't. You are and you won't be. What are you gonna do? You want peace in your life? If you want peace in your life, you're gonna have to start to learn how to live in the now. What does that bring? What does that bring?

I mean, so I got up this morning and I'm told that the visa that you have for Australia, by the way, that's where I was. The visa that you have for Australia is not valid because it's on the old passport. What I said "But that's not possible I have a app and in that there's the new number and it says visa granted and da da da da da." So they created an app for the travellers but they never gave an app to the immigration officers. One time I want to apply for Australian visa, it's rejected. Why can't I come in? What's the problem? Because you never left Australia. But how can I be applying from America if I've never left? When did Australia become America? (laughter) Clever, huh? How can you do that? Finally, after checking and giving my passport to them in which I had already visited over 70 some countries. Showing in, out, in, out, in, out. They went "Oh, okay. You did leave." Of course. I just reckon I have to leave Australia before I have to start hopping like a wallaby. That's that's that's just getting too close to it.

This is the world we live in. For the promise of making something easy. It becomes difficult. There are two points. You will come across everything two ways. And one is good and the other one is the pleasurable one. Pleasing. And you'll have to pick one. Ask yourselves, do you pick good or do you pick pleasing? Pleasing, everything pleasing. I mean, how do you go buy shoes? How? You walk around a little bit see if they feel pleasing. They please you. You look at them. You look at yourself in the mirror with them. Same thing with glasses. You put the glasses on. Then you look in the mirror of what? What do you look like? And if you look good, it pleases you. Pleasing. But there is another option and it's good. Good isn't always pleasing, but good is good. Can you imagine how your life would be today if you had picked good all the time that you picked pleasing that you would have had picked good? Do you think there would be a difference? There would be an immense difference. Immense. Understand then. This is the window of opportunity. Don't waste it.

Should you have a job? It's irrelevant. It's irrelevant. It's totally irrelevant. Are you in peace? That's relevant. Can you have peace regardless of the job? Yes. And that's what you should have. Lot of people. You will come back again. Lot of people. Ooh ooh ooh ooh. (negates) Did you really know what was going to happen to your life? The day you were pushing through the birth canal. Pretty soon I'm going to have something to read to you. I'm I'm hoping that there's a doctor that I know and he's writing it for me. And it was one of his professors at the Medical College who told him what a child goes through, a baby goes through when it's coming, becoming through that birth canal to be born. How much? It's like a rocket going off. A rocket. And what it takes. Did you have any idea you were going to be an engineer, a mother? a father, a successful doctor an unsuccessful doctor. A nurse, an engineer. Did you know? Why am I getting this, you don't care? Well, either say yes or no? (mainly no) You didn't. So all this is a surprise. So this isn't a tape playing. This is used, trying to make music. There's some people are under the opinion it's a tape playing.

Nothing happens without the wish of the big boss. That's a tape playing. Turns out. No, it's you strumming. Idiotically. Trying to make music in your life. And I'm trying to tell you, you can make much better music than that. Give it a rhythm. So what will it take for you to get locked up in this place called now. Because now is very elusive. (mumbles) If you relax a little too much, you'll go into the past. Start thinking a little too much. It'll go into the future and it'll just jerk, jerk, jerk. You'll keep overshooting it. Is the most wonderful gift you have been given. And it is the gift of the breath. When you are with that gift of breath, guess what? Instead of overshooting, you get locked up in the now in which you feel is the peace. And you have no reason to go shooting off or no reason for jumping back. That's the power of breath. Not only does it connect you with this thing called existence. Your existence begins with the breath. If you're not breathing, that's it. But you take that breath and every changes. Your colour changes. The whole vibe of the room changes. Everything changes. And now you exist. You are. But here you thought that it was a prerecorded tape. There have been some very big artists who were singing and they were on them singing. It was the tape playing and all of a sudden they stopped and the tape kept playing. (laughter)

That's what happens to us. We are caught up in some idea here. Some idea there. Something here. Something there. I mean, my God, there is no shortage of showing what they show in some of the movies and things that the escalators going up and you're on a escalator going up. I don't like escalators. Is there elevator? Or just escalators? And it's like this and this and there is somebody there. And my goodness you know how many people there are on the face of this earth? And a quantum computer that it would take to keep abreast of everybody's life. Everything wrong you ever did even if you were in a car all by yourself. Nobody else around. And you swore. Look. Technically, yes, that would be recorded. What have we done with our imagination? We have taken heaven and made it hell. And we are so busy, so busy, day and night trying to make heaven out of hell. Why? Why? Let hell be hell. Let heaven be heaven and you join the heaven which is here, now. Ah, now. Yeah. Now, now, now. And be free. Be free. Be free from all that that binds you, that pulls you, that locks you, that imprisons you. These chains that imprison you is not from somebody else but be you. Be free. And you take the full opportunity of this window that has opened up called life. Full opportunity. Everything then falls in place, falls in place doesn't mean everything falls in place. Falls in place means it makes sense.

You exist. And one day you won't. That's a fact. Do you like that fact? No. You hate that fact. If your doctor said the same thing, you would freak out. You do. If your doctor said you were, you weren't. You are and one day you won't be. Aargh! Give me a date! Give me a date! Are you talking six months? Are you talking about two months? I mean, when do I have go? And the joke goes. I've been trying to tell you since yesterday, but I couldn't get hold of you. So you only have like one hour left. (laughter) Who knows? Who knows how much time you got left. It's not. That's not the issue how much time you've got left. The issue is what are you doing with the time you have? What are you doing with it? You wanna rise above the grind of all this malarkey?

I mean, do you you know it does not matter who the politician is, from which country, they are going to lie. Do you know that? How do you know that? How do you know that? Because if they told you the truth, you would never vote for them. I mean, can you imagine the guy comes out? Is it? "I will make no difference whatsoever." But your taxes will go up. So vote for me. So they will. Of course they lie. They make issues out of tissues. But here is what's incredible. Seemingly intelligent people fall for this time after time after time after time and they go and they vote for the wrong person. Because whoever you would vote is the wrong person. Don't make no difference. None whatsoever. And its how it goes. "Oh no, no. Oh, this person is really good. They'll make a difference." No, they won't. I've been watching this! And it makes no difference. Do something if you want a change. You do something. You can make a difference. You don't need to solve the economic problem of this world. The economic problem in this world is too - the pocket has too many holes in it anyways. So whatever you put in this pocket disappears. But what you need in your community is kindness. Caring. Caring. Everybody caring for each other. Sincere understanding. Understanding. Not road rage. Understanding. Road rage is not understanding. Road rage is road rage. And it's a terrible thing. But a little kindness every single day. Beginning with yourself. Little kindness for yourself. Little kindness for the people around you. Kindness. The creatures. The kindness. That's what's gonna change this world. That's what's gonna change this world. Sharing. Peace. Sharing. Sharing. Kindness. That's what's gonna change this world. Not votes. They they can't.

Because as soon as the person gets elected, he's too busy going to dinners, parties, ceremonies, to do anything. No, I'm not kidding you. That's what they do. They have more parties than you could ever imagine. They have parties in the morning. They have breakfast parties. Then they have snack parties. Then they have tea parties. That's 4:00 o'clock. Then they have dinner parties. Party after party after party after party after party. And what are they celebrating? Ah the idiots elected me again. I mean, God, you know, they make sure that their microphones are turned off because if you could hear the things they say is I'm sure it's incredible. And you put your trust in them. Put you trust where it belongs, in you! Not in other people. And then go "Oh yeah. He broke my trust." Of course he broke your trust, you idiot. That's not what he's supposed to put trust. (laughter) Put the trust in you. That's what's gonna make the difference. So anyways, that in a nutshell is what I wanted to say. (applause) I mean, I have to go back to Australia. I don't know if they're gonna even let me in. But I did find my in the ETA approved visa with the correct passport number. But that doesn't mean anything. You know is when an immigration service can tell you you never left. I'm like, seriously? I mean seriously, you never left. So here we are, I mean, I don't know how many millions of dollars they must have spent on that app. Millions and training everybody and setting up the offices and distributing that and doing this and doing that and it's worth nothing.

Technology. Our great belief that technology will change everything. No, it's not. It's not gonna change anything. It's gonna frustrate you. It's going to create a great illusion that you are saving time. How can you save time? When it takes two hours for an upgrade and your computer is locked out till till the upgrade is finished. Well, how are you saving time? And somebody like me that's travelling with two iPads and one phone. Forget it. Just like the whole day before it will even start releasing and say "Okay, you're okay now." No. Don't be blinded by this. Don't be blinded by this. You're gonna reach a point where you are spending more time deleting email that you don't want than receiving email that you do want.

When that happens, you better feel like an idiot because you paid for the phone and you are paying for the cloud service. The ways to scam you. I mean, it is unbelievable. People used to say I scam people. I don't. There's no cloud service that I provide. All I say is whatever you're looking for is inside of you. That's what I say. Hard to scam then. (applause got off to a rocky start) But you allowed these people to scam you? I mean scam scam scam scam scam scam scam scam. We all put your data in a cloud. What cloud? What are you talking about? It's just me but it's like yes you'll be able to access anything anywhere. But I carried my computers with me. It's not for somebody else. It's just for me. "Oh Yeah, but you still have to pay." Why? "Because if you don't pay how we gonna scam you? And that's the reason why you bought the phone right? So you could be scammed. Most people don't even know how to turn it off.

That's no life. That's no experience of the infinite. That is no peace. So when I say window of opportunity, people I'm sure are cynical like "What are you talking about?" I'll tell you something new. I don't blame you? Living in a world like today? That would be a very big horse pill to swallow. Infinite is in me. But guess what? Thank God. The infinite is in here. (pretty rocky applause) Until you are alive the infinite will be in here and that is what gives you the opportunity that this window has been opened up. Take the window of opportunity and run with it. Don't sit there and wonder and wonder and wonder and wonder and wonder and wonder. It's no time to wonder. Why does that happen? Why did that happen? Why did that happen?

You know one day a husband just gets up and leaves. Never comes back. He goes for a cigarette and has the longest cigarette ever. Never comes back. All the husbands are very quiet right now. (women laugh) Really. You mean I could just go and never come back? Is it easy as that? Ha ha ha. But they do what they do. The wife is distraught, instead of thanking God. "Finally. Finally he left." Now I can get on with my life.

And what? And of course, if you're Indian, what will other people think of me? Do you sincerely think other people even think about you? Or have they ever thought about you? Why should they? Why should they? Why should they? Your opportunity, your window. Take it. Take it. Take it. Take it. Take it. Go inside. Enjoy the divine. Enjoy that feeling. Enjoy the peace. Be in that moment called now. These are the tools that you have been given. Don't squander your time. So that's what I came to say. And I hope that you understand what I'm trying to convey. So to all the virtual world out there I hope you enjoyed the event and pretty soon it'll be coming from Japan to you. The events there are going to be starting and Korea is the first time I've ever been to Korea so that's going to be interesting. Um and then I think pretty much I I I am going to India after for Hans Jayanti and then ah pretty much all decided what's next but we'll see. Ha ha ha ha. So thank you. Thank you very much. Take care.
