10th January 2000

Dear Dawn,

Many thanks for your quick response to my request - I am aware how very busy you are. I have a copy of "Visions Rescreening Policy" that is dated November 30th and which came through FC. I sincerely state that the video will not be rescreened following the initial screening.

I forwarded a proposal and budget to Greg Nunn yesterday, which dealt with our intentions for the year. In case he has not sent it to you, I include some excerpts here -
"Proposal: To obtain and screen satellite broadcast videos in the local area.
If the broadcasts occur as approx. 1 per month and then later, maybe 1 per week:
It was guesstimated that a maximum of 10 people would be able to fully support each proposed contribution over twelve months. Approximately another15 to 20 people would be able to contribute a smaller amount.
Approximately 20 people have travelled to Amaroo and Byron Bay for satellite broadcasts so far. Due to the travelling expenses many of those people would not have been full contributors. (The car trip to Amaroo costs approx. $30 and to Byron Bay approx. $20.) I therefore anticipate that conducting screenings locally will produce greater overall revenue for payment to Visions. It is anticipated a local delayed screening event will attract 30 people, some of whom will remain non-contributors."

Proposed Income:

$400
Proposed Expenses:
Venue Hire
$100
Video copying
$150 (?)
Communication
donated
Total local expenses:
$250

For this broadcast video we guestimate 10 full contributors and another 20 contributing a smaller amount/with some non-contributors among these.

We will pledge $250 to Visions for this event.

Mark Wakefield from Byron Bay and myself have made contact with a company on the Gold Coast that can downlink the broadcast and make a tape for each of us. Mark will interact with the company on behalf of both centres. The company has verbally agreed that they will make the two tapes for the one price of $150, even though we were each quoted a cost of $150. (This price includes $50 Sunday penalty)

At this point we plan to screen the video at 7 pm Sunday evening, following the introductory event at 5.30 to 6.30 pm. We will promote it widely. In fact rather than a predicament created by the scheduled intro event, it looks like we are in for a feast.

Again, thank you for your help with our request Dawn. It is greatly appreciated.
Kind regards,
A.
